THIS IS AN ALBUM I PURCHASED IN 1968 WHEN I WAS TRYING TO COLLECT ALL THE ALBUMS OF THE GROUPS PLAYING AT THE FILLMORE WEST. ALSO EVEN THOUGH THE ALBUM IS OLD THE RECORD LOOKS BRAND NEW AND WAS KEPT IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED UNIT. PART OF THE PROCEEDS WILL BE ALLOCATED TO UPGRADING SKATE PARKS AND HELPING THE NEEDY OBTAIN FOOD AND SHELTER.
Album Description - This group is the one my friend played for me and the one I consider the first true psychedelic music I heard during my teens. The song called Bass Strings is a song about being too high on L.S.D. and it was music like I had never heard before. This album captures what is was like to see and hear some of the best musicians of the hippie years. Owning an original release instead of a later copy is like having an original Mona Lisa instead of a reprint. Also, the records look and sound like they were bought yesterday and all the songs are good where some albums you like a few then tend to skip over other songs when I record it
