THIS IS AN ALBUM I PURCHASED IN 1967 WHEN I WAS TRYING TO COLLECT ALL THE ALBUMS OF THE GROUPS PLAYING AT THE FILLMORE WEST. ALSO EVEN THOUGH THE ALBUM IS OLD THE RECORD LOOKS BRAND NEW AND WAS KEPT IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED UNIT. PART OF THE PROCEEDS WILL BE ALLOCATED TO UPGRADING SKATE PARKS AND HELPING THE NEEDY OBTAIN FOOD AND SHELTER.
Album Description - Moby Grape formed at the start of the hippie movement and had 4 albums released before the band disbanded. This, their first release is for sure my favorite with all original songs and amazing harmony and guitars blending flawlessly. Owning an original release instead of a later copy is like having an original Mona Lisa instead of a reprint. Also, you can tell it's an original because Don Stevenson is flipping the bird against the washboard where later albums edited the cover to take part of his finger off the cover. All the songs are good where some albums you like a few I tend to skip over when I record it
